To be eligible for TJEE, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must be an Indian citizen.
- Must be a permanent resident of Tripura, with either the applicant or one parent residing in the state for at least 10 years.
- Candidates must have passed or appeared in the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination from the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE), CBSE, or any recognized equivalent board.
- Children of All India Services Officers of Manipur-Tripura cadre and State Government officials posted outside Tripura are eligible, irrespective of prior residency in Tripura.
- Candidates whose parents are Central Government employees or Officers on Deputation in Tripura for a specified duration are eligible.
- Children of Ex-Servicemen (ESM) must have resided in Tripura for a minimum specified period prior to the application.
- Children of serving defense personnel from Tripura are eligible if they have resided in Tripura for a minimum specified period.
- Reservation for SC/ST/PwD/Wards of Ex-Servicemen (ESM) will be provided as per the State Government's Reservation Policy. Relevant certificates must be uploaded during the application process.
